The entirety of the configuration for the Individual Language Plan plugin is done via code sets. All the necessary code sets were created during implementation. Three code sets hold the accommodations, interventions, and related services that will be used by student plans - these code sets are editable by the school district. Two code sets hold information that tells the plugin how to locate test results that it pulls onto reports and ILPs - these code sets should not be edited by the school district.
Code Sets
Navigate to System Management -> Data -> Code Sets to add accommodations, interventions, or related services. The five necessary code sets were created during implementation. The names indicate how the ILP plugin uses the code sets. (Note, Code Sets are only available in District Office mode.)
- EL Accommodations
- EL Interventions
- EL Related Services
- EL Tests - This code set defines how MAP, ACCESS, and mClass tests are named on a particular PowerSchool server.
- EL Test Scores - This code set defines how the MAP, ACCESS, and mClass test scores are named on a particular PowerSchool server.
EL Accommodations
The EL Accommodations code set relies on four values to be set for each accommodation that will be available to students.
- Code - Every option needs a unique code (in this code set). This is what is stored in the database. It should not contain any spaces.
- Display Value - This is the actual text that will be displayed in the Accommodations drop-down menu.
- Alt Value 1 - This value holds the category for the accommodation. There are four pre-defined options, however, any new value in this value will create a new category, so beware of typos.
- Instruction
- Environment and Setting
- Formative Assessment
- Summative Assessment
- Alt Value 2 - If this code should be used for an "Other" option, enter 1 in this field to allow text to be entered, otherwise, leave it empty.
An example of what this will look like on the Code Sets page is in the screenshot below.
EL Interventions
The EL Interventions code set relies on 3 values to be set for each intervention that will be available to students.
- Code - Every option needs a unique code (in this code set). This is what is stored in the database. It should not contain any spaces.
- Display Value - This is the actual text that will be displayed in the Interventions drop-down menu.
- Alt Value 2 - If this code should be used for an "Other" option, enter 1 in this field to allow text to be entered, otherwise, leave it empty.

An example of what this will look like on the Code Sets page is in the screenshot below.
EL Tests
The EL Tests code set maps how tests are named on a particular PowerSchool instance, to the way test scores are utilized in the ILP plugin. It needs to be configured to display NWEA MAP, Amplify mClass (aka Dibels), and WIDA's ACCESS for ELs tests. Districts should not edit this code set.
The following values need to be setup:
- Code - The test name utilized by the plugin. This must be entered exactly as shown in the table below.

An example of what this will look like on the Code Sets page is in the screenshot below, but Display Values will vary based on the how a particular PowerSchool instance is configured.
EL Test Scores
The EL Test Scores code set maps how the tests subscores are named on a particular PowerSchool instance to the way the test subscores are utilized int eh ILP plugin. It needs to be configured with each of the relevant subscores for NWEA MAP, Amplify mClass (aka Dibels), and WIDA's ACCESS for ELs tests. Districts should not edit this code set.
