English Learner ILP - Alerts

A small EL ILP icon will appear in the student banner area (next to the student's name) on student pages. It appears in both the admin portal and the teacher portal.

What determines whether the alert is shown

The icon is displayed only when all of the following are true for the student:

  1. The student's EL Status is L1 (first year identified) or LP (LEP in a previous year).
  2. The student's EL Exit Date is empty, or is a date in the future.
  3. The student has at least one ILP plan that is not archived (a Draft or Final plan).

The alert flags currently active English Learners who have a working ILP on file.


What the alert displays

Clicking the icon opens a pop-up dialog. It shows:

  1. A list of interventions from the most recent active plan (final or draft)
  2. A list of related services from the most recent active plan (final or draft).
  3. A list of accommodations from the most recent active plan (final or draft).
