Academic Concern Subcategories
The Academic area of concern allows for a subcategory to be set, allowing users to indicate that a concern is with academics overall (if no subcategory is set) or specific subjects (if one or more subcategories are configured). During implementation, a default set of subject areas were added, but every school district is different, and additional subject areas can be added.
- To add an academic subcategory, while in the District Office, navigate to System Management -> Data -> Code Sets.
- Use the drop-down menu to select the Concern Subcategory code set.
- Once the Concern Subcategory is selected, the page will reload and show the currently configured academic areas. Click the Add Code button in the upper right corner of the table.
- Enter the name of the new academic concern subcategory into the Code and Display Value fields. Enter the word, "Academic" into the Alt Value 1 field and submit the page. The new subcategory will be available for use the next time you load an MTSS Meeting.
